Helping you...
The Team are in the Village to support residents and to provide opportunities for residents to interact with each other and the broader community. The Resident Assistants are trained in conflict resolution, first aid, and a range of other areas relating to running the Village and assisting residents. They also are part of a future leaders program that exposes them to a range of well known people in senior positions of leadership in politics, public service, and the private sector.
The Team organise a range of social, sporting, cultural and community service related activities. The members of the Team have a more serious side to them and play an important role in making sure that the Village operates smoothly and that a pleasant environment for all residents is maintained. If you are having a great time and creating lots of noise late at night it will often be a Resident Assistant who comes to remind you that your neighbours may not be enjoying themselves as much as you! They are also there to provide assistance to residents who are experiencing difficulties and are in need of assistance.
Feel free to have a chat with them they are happy to talk about any issues you may have or suggestions for the Village. The Team also assist in developing policy and provide advise to the management of the Village.
If you would like to know more about the Residential Programs Team or are interested in becoming an RA you can talk to one of the current RAs or see the Office for further information.
