Internet

Broadband connectivity is available in every bedroom. Internet packages can be organised through the Village internet service provider, Access Plus.

Departure cleaning fee

The departure cleaning fee is only payable if your room is left in an unacceptable condition at the end of your residential agreement. Additional charges may apply for work required to fix any damage/breakage caused by you.

Parking

Parking permits will provide the holder 24 hour access to a parking space at Griffith University Village for the 52 weeks of the calendar year, commencing 1 January and expiring 31 December. The Village has limited car spaces available. In 2013, the weekly charge per vehicle/per car parking space is $15.50. Contact us for a to apply for a parking permit.

Contract break fee

It is anticipated that it is every resident's intention to honour their residential agreement. Unforeseen events do occur that may result in residents wishing to vacate their rooms. Village Administration will help residents find a person to take over their agreement, but until that is done the resident must continue paying weekly fees.

If you vacate the Room before the Termination Date, or this Agreement is terminated by the Owner before that date in accordance with this Agreement, you will still be responsible for the payment of Residential Fees to the Termination Date, and the Owner in addition may charge you an administration fee of an amount reasonably determined by the Owner for costs incurred by the Owner as a consequence of your early vacation of the Room.

The above is not an exhaustive list of fees that may apply. The Village Rules sets out additional costs that may apply in certain circumstances. Further Live, Learn and Grow events may attract additional fees.
